Detroit Hoarding and Cluttering Taskforce

Purpose

The Detroit Hoarding and Cluttering Task Force is a partnership of public and private agencies which seeks to self educate, raise public awareness of hoarding, and to preserve safe and appropriate housing by developing best practices and early intervention strategies. Our focus is on:

  • Age: 50+

  • Location: DAAA Service Area (Detroit, Hamtramck, Highland Park, and the Pointes)

  • Primary target groups in order of priority:

  • Service Providers (mental health, physician, service coordinators, case managers)

  • Family/Caregiver (coping, resources, education, support groups)

  • Client/Hoarder or Clutterer

  • 1st responder/brief encounter (fire dept, Humane Society, etc)
