Our Partner Agencies

The social service agencies that also call the Hannan House their home are Hannan's partner agencies.

Together, Hannan and our partners are able to provide a broader range of programs and services to the downtown area than any agency could on its own.

Hannan's partner agencies include the following organizations:

    • Operation ABLE
"Since 1986, Operation ABLE of Michigan has been a leader in helping mid-career people obtain work and remain employable throughout their lifetime while also helping businesses develop a competent and dependable workforce.

ABLE's team of professionals works in partnership with employers, customers, and community organizations to provide personalized, high quality job search, job placement, occupational training and career transition services." (text from ABLE's website)

    • Citizens for Better Care
" A statewide non-profit consumer advocacy and information agency, started in 1969, for residents of long term care and their support persons. Services include state and regional ombudsman services in nursing homes, adult foster care, homes for the aged, and licensed "assisted living"; family council development; family support services; elder abuse prevention education; state and federal legislative and policy advocacy; quarterly newsletters and many publications; training of long term care professionals; and participation in consumer coalitions."(text from Citizens for Better Care website)
    • AARP
AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization for people 50 and over. We provide information and resources; advocate on legislative, consumer, and legal issues; assist members to serve their communities; and offer a wide range of unique benefits, special products, and services for our members. These benefits include AARP Webplace at www.aarp.org, Modern Maturity and My Generation magazines, and the monthly AARP Bulletin. Active in every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, AARP celebrates the attitude that age is just a number and life is what you make it.
