Detroit Griot: Oral History in Detroit
Hannan has partnered with a group of organizations to form the Griot Detroit Initiiative as an outgrouth of Storycorps Griot that was in Detroit during summer, 2007.
Misson Statement:
Detroit Griot believes that every person has a story that is worth telling and preserving.
Recording your story is a gift for current and future generations. Detroit Griot partnership exists to promote, encourage, and enable persons to share, preserve, and listen to each others stories.
